Sorry: it’s a clever literary reference, and I have a weakness for those in my webcomics. Real quick background: the comic’s set in a world with superheroes and the kid is reliving the memories of a telepath who used his abilities to become President. It is, by the way, an interesting question of whether mere mind-reading abilities would or should be enough to deny somebody high public office. After all, telepathy would be a powerful tool for an administrator.
