Quote of the Day, Stephen Colbert’s Publicist Said ‘Thanks’ edition.

Suey Park, perhaps not understanding the concept of ‘fifteen minutes,’ writes:

Many dismissed the protest we undertook last month with #CancelColbert, a hashtag we set up in response to a blatantly racist Tweet about Asians from the Colbert show’s account.

…Given that that protest probably sealed the deal for Stephen Colbert’s new gig (“See! He’s getting flack from both sides!”), can you really blame them, Miss Park?

…Hey, in her mouth ‘white,’ ‘cis*,’ ‘straight,’ and ‘male’ are terms of contempt. I will allow myself the decadent luxury of a ‘Miss.’ Besides, if I really wanted to be rude I’d… ha!  Almost got caught out, there.

*That one is an attempt to suggest that ‘people whose gender identity match their genitalia’ are anything except ‘the overwhelming majority of humanity.’ I take a detached view on the subject, though: I mean, at least I’m not required by my social circles to memorized umpteen different pronouns just to avoid conversational faux pas

  1. I really couldn’t care one way or the other what CBS does with their Late Show, I didn’t watch it when Letterman was there, I’m probably not going to watch it with Colbert.

In other news, this evening I got to meet Eugene Cernan. For those that don’t know whom Eugene Cernan is, he was the last man on the moon.

    1. It’s about making Liberals live by their rules. There is a bloody double standard that they get to skate by and I for one am done.
      .
I still don’t know what Moe is doing with this post, unless he’s trying to poke Suey Park.

      1. I have no idea, what Moe’s motive was in posting this.

I am wondering what the news will report about Eugene Cernan’s comments at the forum at Purdue. I got a front row seat to him ripping the Obama Administration for a lack of leadership.

          1. I took what pictures I could with my cell phone, but I really wish I had remembered to bring my camera.

The resolution on my cell phone is crud to put it mildly.

        1. Purdue is a great school. I appreciate it so much more now that I see what other colleges offer.

          1. I’m a Purdue Alumni, I’m still in my part-time job though because the economy is crud, and I haven’t been able to find jack squat. Added to the problem is there are prescription medications that I’m on that I can’t take generic.

I’m still looking for something full-time though. I want to have my own career, and I blame the Democrats’ and their job killing policies for why I can’t find a full-time job.

  2. Awhile back a troll on Larry Correia’s blog called him a ‘cismale gendernormative fascist’. A title which he’s now taken gladly. Should probably get patches and t-shirts made.

    1. Between that and several Monster Hunter patches, he could be rolling around in even more money if he did that.
