:rolling eyes: The Inevitability of Hillary Clinton, v2.0.

You know, I heard all of this eight years ago, too.

I think she’s already running for president, that it will be impossible to deny her the nomination, and that it will be exceedingly difficult for the Republicans to stop her in November 2016, no matter who they put on their ticket.

You know what’s changed, since then? Hillary Clinton’s almost a decade older. Which would be great for her if she had been forty in 2006. Fifty-nine? Not so much.  Love to tell the Democrats this (well, I’m not gonna lie and say that I hate to), but they should have run their top two candidates in reverse order.  But never mind me.  Go run with this inevitability thing.

Again.

  1. That whole article calls out for a fisking. I mean, jeez: One of them was the idea that war is rarely the answer
Brought up in the context of the Civil War; a conflict that answered a number of questions.

        Hey – don’t knock it ’till you’ve tried it…

I also have .. issues .. with eating veal, although I do understand it tends to be lower in certain prions.

    1. PUMA was pro-Clinton and anti-Obama. They even started that birth certificate nonsense. Which jumped to our side of the fence for some strange reason. It sounds appealing, but it really does fall apart under close scrutiny. They’ve actually casuse more harm than been helpful, since they didn’t cross over and voted for McCain.

      1. Gator, I’ve never been convinced the P.U.M.A.s were particularly large (no I’m *not* calling them fat!) just .. vocal. Shrilly so.

Put another way, even if they did vote for McLame, it wouldn’t have mattered, given the number of non-ideological GOPers stayed home.

  2. I have never understood the Cult of Clinton. Especially, the ham with hair, Hillary. She was the first and only flotus to have to testify in front of Congress. Some DimRep, Dan Rostenkowski(sp), I think he´s dead now, RIP, laid out the magnanimous and overflowing compliments about her intelligence and her worldliness. I wanted to hurl. Still do.

    1. Rostenkowski, by the way, was the Chicago Dem who ran Ways and Means, back when that was a thing .. and is why Chicago has a hellaton of expressways among other things.

The interesting thing about Rosty is he was the main thorn in Reagan’s side .. everything Reagan wanted to do had to get past Rosty.
