I’ll believe it when I see it.
…fans can now rest assured that there will indeed be more content coming to Dragon Age: Inquisition in the future after Bioware’s Mark Darrah announced that DLC is now officially in development. Darrah, who works as the executive producer for Dragon Age: Inquisition, tweeted to fans to confirm that Bioware is now working on the first DLC add-on.
However, the content is still too early in development for Bioware to reveal details on what exactly the upcoming add-on may contain.
If you read the article, it doesn’t actually rule out that the aforementioned add-on might simply be more multiplayer. I’ve heard rumors that Bioware doesn’t actually want to expand anything except multiplayer; and while rumors are worth their weight in gold I still won’t believe that we’ll be seeing new single-player content until it’s actually in the store for purchase. You just can’t trust the game companies.
…Hey, look at me! I’m doing cynical, pessimistic game-blogging! Just like a pro, too! This is so cool.
This is where the cynic also mentionos that MP support brings them $ from people who spend real money on goodie chests (like ME3 MP did), whereas SP content is more expensive to develop (I wager) and only gives you one sale.
Part of it also seems to be that Bioware got a lot of flack from some people when they released DLC (both story and characters) either on release day or quickly after the game launched.
Evidently people felt all of that should have been included with the game.
Now people are complaining that there is too long a drought between release and DLC launch. Bioware should have realized- people are going to complain no matter what you do.
Ahh, for the good ole days of EXPANSION PACKS.
