SOON. Drop the kids off at school, go to the local 9:30 AM showing. Reasonably straightforward, right?
…Actually, I’m startled that I was able to reserve a ticket. My original pick – 11 AM at the mall – was sold out to Heck and back. I didn’t actually expect to be able to see this in a comfortable lounge chair at a much more reasonable hour of the morning (from my point of view). Go figure.
5 AM at the Alamo Drafthouse. Waffles and Star Wars in the very early morning.
That… does not sound half bad, actually.
Hopefully you have fun.
Monday evening … Because some of us have day jobs and in-laws inbound.

I’ll see it when I am reassured by enough people I trust that I’ll like it.
Because I remember The Phantom Menace.
Same here.
Alas, this is where I must admit in shame that I am a Bad Fan. I still haven’t gotten around to seeing Episode 3 yet.
Not that I’d be able to see 7 this weekend anyways, I’m at home on medical leave recovering from a double hernia surgery on Monday. Recovery is a whole lot of Not Fun but it sure beats the possibility of death within 24 hours from a perforated or strangulated hernia. Though I will say that the pain from my stomach regurgitating its contents the evening after the surgery was at a level that I hope never to experience again in my life.
Oof. My prayers for a speedy recovery.
I hope the worst is past, and your recovery is quick.
Good luck with the recovery. I hope you had laparoscopic surgery–you’ll recover MUCH faster than the old-fashioned way. (I had a belly button hernia that had to be fixed a few years later, the first time open, the second, the more modern way.) I didn’t even want to sit up for 3-4 days the first time, but the second I was starting to get up and move around by day 2.
Managed to catch a 7:20 IMAX 3D showing this evening at almost literally the last minute. Somehow wound up with two of the last remaining unclaimed seats on either side of me, too. And they screwed up in the projectionist’s booth, so I’ve now got a pass for a free movie at some point.
All things considered, it was a pretty good way to start things before the film rolled.
Of the film itself, I’ll say nothing, but I hope you enjoy it.
It was great, have fun. Avoid spoilers like the plague
It didnt suck. I’m still sorting out my overall feelings.
