Blipping well TOOK the Post Office long enough to get me Genevieve Cogman’s first novel The Invisible Library; mind you, I had to special-order the sucker from England. You would think that, in these halcyon days of digital inter-connectivity, we could dispense with the ridiculous notion that the British and American editions of a book cannot be published simultaneously. You would be wrong.
Anyway, I’m going to go back to reading The Invisible Library now. Pre-order it. It’s a book about, well, secret Librarians. Alternate history. It’s written by someone who I will concede is a better writer. Why are you still here?
And so, adieu to The Winter of the World.
We’re waiting on your review, of course.
(Smiles innocently)
So far? It’s quite nice. Would people be interested in me doing a phone interview with the author, or me doing author interviews in general?
I would appreciate a bit of ‘like X’ or ‘if you like Y and Z’…
.
I picked up the Peter Grant’s Surreal London Travelogue on your recommendation, and enjoyed it, but I am aware our tastes do differ, so “Moe liked” isn’t a 100% guarantee…

Sure.
Sounds like fun.
Sounds good to me.
