The highly efficient Kong: Skull Island Japanese teaser trailer.

It’s interesting to contrast the Japanese teaser trailer for Kong: Skull Island (coming out 03/10/2017) with the Comic-Con trailer:

All the clips in the first are in the second, of course. But the Japanese one didn’t waste time. An American thirty-second clip would have been a teaser: dramatic slow beat, flickering in and out of the selected frames, and the brief reveal at the end.  The Japanese are more Yeah, we know what you’re here for.  Here you go.  Ogle, folks. Ogle.

I’m not saying that one way is superior to the other. But it’s interesting to see how culture changes presentation.
