04/2/21 Revisions, MORGAN BAROD.

First chapter’s done with the alpha edits. That sounds great, right? Wrong. I should be getting at least three done a day if I want to keep this project on-track. That’s why I’m nagging myself about it now, in fact. I figure it’s okay to start slow, if I accelerate. As long as I actually accelerate.

Quality. Takes. As. Long. As. It. Takes.

Better a well told Morgan Barod on its’ own schedule than one you rush to market.

p.s. by all means reasonable, do accelerate… but do so by no unreasonable means.

That’s a “man vs self” story seed, not a truism.

For most people, the work does not, in fact, need to get done.

Sure, there are exceptions, but for most, the consequence isn’t earth-shattering… though it may be self-shattering.

There are even good cased where, should the work not get done, the shattering would affect many – Dr. Funranium’s day job comes to mind.

If you’re wanting a less nihilistic take, and I know I do, applying the rules of the vocation to the avocation is an affectation most harmful.

Do the work, but do not rush the work.
