  1. If those are real, that seems to indicate good morale and that is a good thing. Also, they’re cool.

    1. A responder in that thread said/snarked(?) something to the effect that patches like these must all be designed by the person in the unit who was best at doodling dragons at meetings, and a bunch military type chimed in with a matter-of-fact response of ‘Yup.’

      1. Beats the alternative of an officer (or worse yet, a committee of officers) coming up with the design.

        I think between a quarter and a third of USMC infantry companies have some variation of a knife, with the motto “The Cutting Edge” as their insignia.
        Search “3/7 USMC insignia” for a representative example.

  2. A kithman of mine in the Space Force confirms that all of the units he recognizes are correct, and the ones he doesn’t all have the right look to them. He specifically verified the 22nd and 23rd.
