VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE SECOND INQUISITION PDF now available.

H/T: GeekTyrant. The print version of VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE SECOND INQUISITION isn’t available yet, but Modiphius has released the PDF for it. And third-party vendors too, I guess: at least, I ordered mine through Renegade Game Studios and I’ve downloaded and am reading the PDF right now.

I’ve wanted this one for a while. SECOND INQUISITION is not for playing vampire-hunters in the World of Darkness; if you want that, go play NIGHT’S BLACK AGENTS*. Which you should do anyway, because it’s a cool game. And as I’m sure Ken Hite would readily tell you, too.

  1. Okay. If that’s *not* what SECOND INQUISITION is for, then what *is* SECOND INQUISITION for?

    1. Putting the fear of Cain into your players via multiple angles. It’s got a bunch of stuff in it on how to use the Inquisition to mess with resources, allies, lairs: it’s pretty nasty, really. To start out with, there’s no need to tell vampires to throw their damned cell phones away. Anybody who hasn’t already is either dead, or bait.

  2. Hmmm.

One of the really poorly-defined aspects of WoD has always been “Which group actually has the power?” If the Inquisition is at “carrying a cell phone is a death sentence” levels, then it looks like either they dialed the power level of vampire society *way* back, or they added another contender to the stack.
