I’m not sure why Those That Must felt they needed to kill an entire galaxy that way in “…Why, It Cuts,” but they did. I get the [impression] that Those That Must aren’t very nice. Maybe not precisely evil, but they’re not very nice at all.

Well….telling people to be ‘nice’ and play ‘nice’ etc.etc.etc. for the last 30 years gave us generation snowflake.
I’ll take my chances with Those That Must.
There’s courtesy, there’s kindness, and there’s nice.
Two of these are good. One is hellish in its’ insidiousness.

It took multiple iterations of the universe to transform a galaxy into a knife. We don’t know that cause of death wasn’t “old age”.

And it reminds me of Phil Foglio’s intro to ” The Winslow” (the platonic ideal of small fuzzy alligators). This places it in good company, by the way.
