Today is kind of an infrastructure day.

I have my SCA Baronial newsletter to finish, and I also spent a decent part of the morning fiddling with books. We got a new washing machine, you see, and we had to clear out some of the basement to have it installed; that meant moving stuff out of the basement itself. Now my wife and I are looking at this suddenly more spacious area and saying, Gee. Maybe we should… keep it sort of like this? Which means me culling my library, among other things. It needs culling, mind you, only I’ve been putting it off for twenty years. But no longer!

All of which means I’m kind of sneezy and wheezy right now, because of dust. And allergies. I might need to take a nap, let my body process some of this crud…

  1. *shudders*

The one thing that always messed up my attempts at culling would be the inevitable reunion with an old friend followed by “Just a little browsing” that inevitably killed the entire day. I might avoid straying with the first one or two old friends I encountered but there were always many and sooner or later I would succumb. I really do admire those who have more self a discipline with this then I do. 🙂

    1. The advantage I have there is that we really do need to get the basement cleaned, so there’s a limit to how much I can dawdle.
