Sometimes, all you really want are ‘Dutiful Neighbors.’ It’s nice if you like each other, sure. But if you can manage a solid ‘well, they’re reliable and we don’t squabble every week over stupid bull[expletive deleted]’ — well, that will do.

There are shades of the Well World in this one. Well done.
Though a flawed show in general, “Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda” had an interesting concept of an xenophobic species in a different atmosphere/heat level environment that basically took all the planets that the main civilization didn’t want.
Except when the other species decided to xenoform one of the planets to their own needs, and things got blasty very fast.
There were very rigid protocols for discussions with the other civilization, that came in handy when the main (Dylan Hunt) character who knew all of them was needed.
I can’t completely recommend the show, and the last season went completely off the rails (different production company), but there are some really fun characters and selected plotlines. (The Nietzschean species concept is an interesting one)
