My mini-review of LOKI, Season 2.

Short version: it’s good, the finale was good, now STOP.

Slightly longer version: LOKI’s pretty much my favorite MCU series, and this season was just as good as the first one. It played around with the implications of time travel a lot more in Season 2. The last episode in particular had me rolling on the floor for the first half. Very (very) weirdly, I had a referent for Loki’s problem! I’ve been there!

So it’s a great show. Stuck the landing. …Now put it all down, and never make a Season 3. It’ll never live up to the first two’s glorious purpose, and it shouldn’t even try. Let one of these productions just end clean.

  1. I thought it was a very good ending, though I can’t help but wonder how much was changed to make it possible to pivot away from Kang as Marvel’s next big villain. Because it seemed clear that the ending also lets them wave Kang (and all his aliases) away as a future threat.
