I’m gonna commit a little heresy on that scrapped Wile E. Coyote movie.

I suspect that, should the COYOTE VS. ACME movie be successfully shopped to another distributor as per that story, it’s gonna end up bombing so hard Wile E. Coyote* is gonna need to get a new sign. Don’t ask me why I suspect that, because I’m not quite sure. Maybe because usually it turns out that studios bury movies for a reason? I mean, sure, the director thinks it’s great, but he’s going to think that.

Also: it’s apparently going to be a courtroom comedy. …I am deleting any further remarks, on advice of counsel.

  1. There is little less heretical than the statement “Hollywood screwed up a beloved IP in a remake/reimagining/sequel”.

Eh. You could do a Coyote courtroom comedy if you didn’t mind violating the bleep out of the rules*. As a 5-10 minute short that would be mostly a clip show, with the final gag being the reveal that the court was owned by ACME.
But stretching it to 2 hours? That’s rocket on rollerskates stupid.
