I’ve enlisted the services of somebody who knows more about Discord than I do, the better to muck about with my Discord channel. Part of his immediate assessment was to have me tell him what I wanted my Discord to do… which is a really good question, isn’t it*? Some back and forth later, we got the basics down (letting people keep track of my books, getting an audience for them, and so forth); now I have to go find some Discord channels that are doing what I’m doing, and point them out to him so that he can do a proper layout**.
So if you have good examples of a Discord channel that seems to do a good job at maintaining and encouraging reader interest, by all means: let me know what it is.

*Now, you might very well think that this entire exercise is at least partially my attempt to teach some valuable life skills (project planning, customer interactions, and project implementation) — but I couldn’t possibly comment.
**He also thinks I need more ‘roles’ for my Discord channel subscribers. Which… okay, yeah, we’ve already established that I don’t know what I’m doing here, so maybe I shouldn’t argue with him.
