I’m now reminded of a scene from “Dilvish The Damned” where Zelazny had Dilvish reproach Jelerak at the same time he was trying to kill him with the words, “You treated me as though I were an object!” only to have Jelerak reply, “And now in my own defense it appears that I will have to do this all over again. I do hope you appreciate the irony!”.
I suspect that if I were the one being addressed in that story I would rapidly start taking a Jelerak-like attitude towards the situation. ^_~
