First looks at live-action AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER characters.

I don’t hate them, but I’m not in love with the way they look, either.

Via @Strangeland_Elf. I should note: ‘not in love with the way they look’ is still better than ‘Dear God, what is that thing‘ – and the latter is currently the baseline for a live-action Avatar flick. I can’t quite blame Hollywood for collectively wanting a do-over on this IP. If I was in their position, I would feel the same way.

  1. Not a fandom I’m a part of… so as long as they avoid.. obvious offensiveness … I don’t care.

I would like to see a somewhat more USAian-friendly remake of this remake of a classic…

    .. but I recognize we’re going to get more… Millennial-childhood stuff instead.

    1. I did not this existed. I will have to go find it now. Thanks.

And yes, you are right. We will generally speaking get more “Millennial-childhood stuff instead.” But there is a market for this.

Need to double check myself when posting from the mobile device, and it’s auto corrupt feature, much more carefully.
