Patreon Microfiction: Two-Fisted Cosmic Cthulhu Tales!

I kind of want, and kind of don’t want, to write more of “Two-Fisted Cosmic Cthulhu Tales!” On the one hand, it’ll annoy some people I enjoy annoying. On the other hand, I’m getting a bit old to be a pain in the butt. And on the squirming facial tentacles: will it even sell?

  1. Robert E. Howard used the Cthulhlu Mythos as background for many of his stories and the evidence seems to be that they did OK. His position seemed to be that human ferocity was what drove the things that lurk in the shadows into the shadows in the first place and that it would only be when humans became too civilized to fight back against monsters that they would return so I would say there’s plenty of market for such stories. As far as I’m concerned the difference between horror and swords and sorcery stories is actually pretty thin. If it’s a proper swords and sorcery story then the monster can and should be taught to fear humans. 🙂
