Morrrrre revisions uggh.
This time for the chapbook: it was suggested that I add little intros to explain each story, and that was a very good suggestion, so I did. And that kind of catches me up, at this point. Tomorrow I can go through MORGAN BAROD again, send selected sections to my editor, and then we’ll do another final passthrough and… publish… the… book?
That seems weird to just type out, like that. I mean, sure, it’s about time, but still. There’s a certain milestone involved in getting more than one novel out, I think. At least, that’s how it feels.
Welp. I’ve run out of excuses.

Finished a chapter, and am now waiting for the last six to be alpha-read. It has been a somewhat delayed day, today. End of marking period and a bunch of minor issues, all piling up. But we go on, we do.

Chapter 22 to 24, and my wife had so many notes about the geography of Monmouth County, and its roads. I suspect I shall need to commission a map. Actually, I know I will, but I was allowing myself the delusion that I would not.

Chapter 21 and Part 2 are now reviewed. I’m almost caught up with my alpha reader, so I can dial it back a little. Or possibly do five chapters tomorrow and wait for the rest. Either way, the goal is to be ready to get the manuscript ready for beta readers by the end of the week. Huzzah!

Chewed through the Vampire City, fixed it up all nice and proper, and… there are extensive reader notes on Chapter 20 and 21. I seem to recall feeling vaguely eager to speed on through, and get on to the next part. WELP, I’M GONNA PAY THE PRICE FOR THAT NOW!
Seriously, though, this is moving along pretty good. I might have the first write-through squared away by the end of next week. Then it’s beta-reader time!
