Busy today, outside of the Kickstarter. Which means there was no love for TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION, alas. On the other hand, the kids got to trick-or-treat and my wife got to do mechanical engineering in the front yard, so I’m scoring the day as a win. You gotta keep a firm eye on the fundamentals.

10/30/20 Update, TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter.
Some more interest today in the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter, which is good. Excellent, even. We continue on as the month ends and the new month dawns. Or something equally poetical.
10/29/20 Update, TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION.
With twenty days to go, I do have some hope that TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION will at least clear the current stretch goals. I think that the infamous trough came early this go-round, which is unfortunate but not cripplingly so. I may have to reassess whether I can use Backerkit this time around, though. I’ll know more in a couple of weeks.

PS: It was not the best day generally, honestly.
10/28/20 Update, TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter.
With three weeks to go, we are at the cusp of the next stretch goal on the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter. It’s going okay, all in all. Right now I’m trying to decide whether Backerkit is going to be a viable option this time. Last time it did pay for itself, but that was last time. This time the budget is going to be unavoidably leaner.
But! The good news is, things are proceeding to a plan. It is not a melodramatic plan, but it is a plan nonetheless. It’s been an excellent education, so far…
10/27/20 Update, TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION.
A better day, thankfully; and some sales elsewhere! TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION may not have the legs FROZEN DREAMS did, but a lot of the characters in it deserve their own books. With any luck, I’ll be able to write them, too.
Okay: also, I like getting paid to write. It’s a hell of a concept, let me tell you.
10/26/20 Update, TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter.
Welp, it looks like another stalled-out day for the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter. No lie; I was hoping that putting up the free story might entice a pledge or two, but apparently not. Ach, well. I know people who are trying to just get across the crowdfunding finish line, let alone trying to rack up the cash.
Still, feel free to pass along this link to anybody who might be interested in signing up. It can only help my production timeline next year. Even the $5 tier is one more potential reader…
10/25/20 Update, TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter.
Looks like it’s going to be the first goose egg of the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter, which is of course the most horrible thing in the multiverse that has or will ever happen to myself or my innumerable Shadows. Alas. Alack.
More seriously, Kickstarters have a 38% success rate, so there’s somebody out there right now who’d probably be kind of ticked off to see me complaining about how it may take a few days to finish off the current set of stretch goals. I admit this, freely. It’s just that the planned $2,500 stretch goal might be a little tempting, if I do say so myself. Anyway: don’t forget to take a look at the free short story! And/or, say, pass that last link around. Every little bit helps.
Sample from the Kickstarter: A BARGAIN WITH YIG.
A free short story (A BARGAIN WITH YIG) from the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter is now available for your perusal. Feel absolutely free to pass those links around. Or read it yourself; if you’re on my Patreon, you’ve already read a version of it, but I feel I improved it considerably.
10/24/20 Update, The TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter.
Steady as she goes; the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter continues on its merry way. I am seriously considering picking one of the stories and making it available for everybody to read, as a sort of encouragement. The trick is picking which one. Possibly ‘A Bargain With Yig?’ People seem to like that one a bunch.
10/23/20 Update, the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter.
We continue to move along with TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION. It’s definitely at a lower level of intensity, though. This is good data to have! And, of course, it’s much better to wonder if I’m going to hit all the current stretch goals than it is to worry whether I’m going to fund the blessed thing in the first place.
Note, though: I have in mind a nice little deal if we do hit all the current stretch goals. At that point I’ll have some opportunity to offer a bit more.
