As in, vending table. So far, I’ve got:
- Nice-quality prints of the various covers. Like, frameable.
- Better bookmarks.
- Stickers?
- Fridge magnets?
I need a decent mix of free stuff, cheap stuff, and decently-priced stuff. What else am I missing?

The trick here is trying to figure out who might be interested. Usually when I’m vending I can default to “The odds are good they’re into this stuff,” but a lot of folks are just here to grab something from the department store. The weather isn’t helping, either. We got hit by an unpleasant freeze this weekend, and it’s affecting everybody’s traffic.
That being said, this is the first year of this thing and the organizer is already thinking about how to improve stuff next year. So I’m not mad. Also, I did have a pizza delivery guy stop, look, and grab a card, and that feels like a solid lead. You just have to keep swinging, in this business.
I have to be up early to get over to the Winter Fantasy Faire in Westminster tomorrow. There was some question as to whether I was going, given that I might either have a cold, or else the event would be canceled because of the weather. But everything seems to be in order, so away we go.
Light posting tomorrow, too. Enjoy your weekend!
If anybody knows of stuff in Maryland going on where I could sell books, feel free to tell me. I’m going to be doing something at an SCA event at the end of March because MORGAN BAROD is highly SCA-friendly, but I don’t expect to sell many there, honestly. It’s practice for outdoor vending as much as it is anything else.
