I am unapologetic in my love for the VENOM series, and its brazen melodrama. It’s like spoken-word opera! But it looks like we’re headed to a huge blowout in the final movie, and then it’ll be… over? They’ll just go out on a high note, and not try to flog the IP?

Nice of the VENOM: THE LAST DANCE trailer to make it clear that the people getting their heads bitten off were cruel to animals. No, really. You have to walk a fine line when you want to make Venom anything like a sympathetic character in these movies. Having him rescue a bunch of dogs helps a good deal with that.
