Tonight is the last night of Weird Al’s tour…

…and if you missed it, I am legitimately sorry to hear that.  It has been, honestly, a triumph for Weird Al; by all accounts, he is honestly surprised that people would flock to hear songs like “The Night Santa Went Crazy” or “Your Horoscope For Today.” But we did. And it was worth driving in the snow at night in Washington DC to go see.

Very little else is.

MST3K touring this year with Joel.

Well, dang.

After an incredible tour in 2017, Mystery Science Theater 3000 announces the MST3K Live 30th Anniversary Tour featuring, for the first time in 25 years, original host and MST3K creator Joel Hodgson back in the red jumpsuit as Joel Robinson. Alongside new MST3K host Jonah Heston (Jonah Ray), Joel, Jonah and the Bots will bring new movies and all new riffs and sketches live to the stage across U.S. cities this fall. The MST3K Live 30th Anniversary Tour kicks off October 9 in Portland, ME and hits 29 cities to perform 42 shows across the U.S. Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, June 8 via AXS.com and local venue box offices.

That’s something to think about, it is. I mean.  Joel.

Hey, a reminder: Stary Olsa is in the middle of its USA tour.

Stary Olsa, of course, is that group from Belarus that does classic rock using medieval instruments.  They did that Kickstarter, remember? Anyway: they are doing their American tour, several of the concerts are rather absurdly near to my house, you should check it out and see if they’re playing near you, too.  Looks like it’s going to be a good bit of fun, really.

Barack Obama v. Disappointed Iowan Sixth Graders.

Mr. President? I’d like to introduce you to some of the American people that you are harming with your petulant closing of the White House to tours.

“The White House is our house! Please let us visit!”
