Movie of the Week: “John Wick.”

Really, this one is more of a reminder that it’s time for me to pick up John Wick.  If you haven’t seen it yet, well: the Atlantic review title was “John Wick: An Idiot Killed His Puppy and Now Everyone Must Die” – and that was extremely accurate.  It’s a fun flick, but if you don’t want to see Keanu Reeves play an assassin out to avenge his dog ON EVERYONE* then you won’t want to see this.

And so, adieu to WKRP In Cincinnati: The Complete Series.

…which is obviously not from John Wick, but you get the point.

  1. Best news yet – the WKRP set has most of the original music restored!

(The rerun release made after they discovered that no one had remembered to secure the rights to the music tracks beyond the first showing was a crushing blow for many of us. Like watching Gimme Shelter with the Bee Gees dubbed in.)

  2. To be fair, the dog does mean quit a bit to him. Too bad the punks didn’t realize 1) who John Wick is 2) why it’s bad to pissed him off. It’s just a straight forward old fashion action flick. Turn off your brain and enjoy yourself.

  3. I haven’t seen the movie, so I don’t know if this is true, but… I read one review that described it as the typical horror movie formula of “a group of teenagers do something stupid, and are killed off one by one by a stalker” flipped to the killer’s point of view.
