…I wouldn’t know personally, mind you. It was my turn for food shopping and then we had to dig out a few geological strata in the kids’ room until we could find the floor. But tomorrow’s gonna be a great day, too! – Which means that I can paint the front stoop! Huzzah!
Ach, well, we can’t have lazy Sundays EVERY Sunday.
Spanky and Our Gang – Lazy Day
You do understand that ‘stoop’ is dialect???
I think we should be fixin’ to take a poll. LOL
Wikipedia says it’s regional to the northeast, although I grew up in the Midwest, and I know what it means (OTOH, there were a fair number of Dutch descended families around where I grew up, so maybe that’s a factor too?)
The funny part is, because my parents are from Boston and I grew up in NY/NJ, I sometimes have weird slang preferences. Complicated by the fact that I’ve been professionally working with Southerners for the last, wow, fourteen years. 🙂
