Note that all of the names in ‘Mutual Trade Benefits’ are translations. The concepts came across reasonably well, too. Which makes sense, because all of these aliens were enough like us to work out real estate deals.

I imagine that “we” are led by Singapore, not any of the current world powers. I imagine that Singapore would do better at “space civilization is building treaty ports in our home system” than anyone, what with them being descended from one.

Other fun thing: if the gas dwellers want to exploit the wealth of the various moon systems, I am sure humans are very willing to colonize them for the right price.
