Microfiction: Unexpected Blade.

The thing about an Unexpected Blade is that it might not be evil! Or no more evil than the average person. But even the good ones still want to be used, and are ready to work with what they have to make that happen. It’s sort of like having an ethical vampire in the party; sure, she’s no more likely to eat a baby than you are, but she still needs to eat. So why can’t she drain that slave-trader we’ve just tied up? How is that any worse than just hanging him?
