Personally, if there were druids, then the protagonist of ‘Manifesto of the Urban Druid’ would be perfectly perfect. ‘Nature’ is an opinion. …Well, except in cosmic horror. Which this is not.

Druids have so much potential in fantasy RPGs, and it’s just wasted.
I blame fluffy bunny environmentalism.
I did appreciate it when 3e d&d made the leap from True Neutral to one Neutral aspect.
(And scared the crap out of a gm who was not at all used to players filling out blank spaces. I sketched out four of the sects and partially developed the fifth my NE druid/rogue actually belonged to. In his chair, I’d have been overjoyed. He was… not. Just to be clear, he HAD asked that I make my character fit in with the existing group of murder hobos. But I don’t think he expected me to commit to it nearly as hard as I did.)
