Interestingly, my wife did not. She was always in parties that had message discipline and a written list of questions to ask before casting the spell. Which is to say (I certainly did), she was always party leader,* because TTRPG players aren’t dumb. I’ve… had stuff like this happen to me.

*She once ran a game where my character needed a squire, so she created an NPC to roleplay that. We promptly made the squire the party leader**. Honestly, it was all for the best.
**It certainly wasn’t going to be me. I had a Wisdom of FIVE! I roleplayed that by having my character do whatever wildly entertaining and dumbass thing I suggested at the table.
