I forgot that the baronial meeting was this evening. And, since I’m now the guy taking notes during the baronial meeting, well, I gotta go out right back again. At least this drive is much simpler.

And we’re back!
A day early: kids had not yet melted down, but one was coming down with a cold. So we booked after breakfast. And now we are home. I hope everybody had a good holiday season.

A glorious trip: we managed to get back before my youngest decided to start upchucking. Travel did not sit well with his stomach, poor kid. I figure that it’s just the combination of nasal drip and a long car ride, but he’s out of school tomorrow anyway and if the eldest shows any symptoms at all I’ll pull him out, too. Better safe than sorry, and when these kids regurgitate it’s typically spectacular.
So, hey, that’s what I’ve been doing this afternoon.

Hope everybody had a fun Fourth of July – and a slightly easier trip home. My trip home wasn’t so much fun. Ach, well, at least the kids got to see their grandfather.

Weird use of that thing people do when they write out one word after the comma, …amusingly? It stops being instinctive when you’re aware that you’re doing it.

Easy trip up, easy trip back, a lot of sea breezes in the middle. This was a gift for my wife and my mom, but it wasn’t half bad for me, either.
