Lifetime does a 15 minute romance movie for KFC.

I have three responses to this, and I don’t know which I like better. The first is: I’m not even mad. The second is: Go home, Lifetime. You’re drunk. And the third is: Only fifteen minutes? If you’re gonna with the Deep Hurting, then by God swing for the fences. A Recipe for Seduction should have been a miniseries and they should have brought in one of the other franchises, too. Arby’s, maybe. Those guys would have gotten into it.

KFC/Taco Bell partners with Grubhub for delivery, Immanentizing the Eschaton.

Yea, verily, this is a sign of the End Times: “On Thursday, Yum Brands — the parent company of KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut — announced it had entered into a partnership with delivery company Grubhub. The chains’ franchisees will work with Grubhub to roll out online ordering for pickup and delivery in thousands of locations in the coming months.”  Why? Well, it’s not that creating this service will go a long way towards removing one of the few remaining reasons why people will leave the house voluntarily.  It’s not because turning Grubhub into a monopoly-seeking and potentially obnxiously-ubiquitous service might be on the horizon. It’s not even that if McDonald’s attempts to use Uber to deliver Big Macs fail then my legacy stock in the company might take a nosedive.

No, it’s because this isn’t Popeyes.  I could go for some Popeyes chicken right now, in fact. Or maybe Pollo Campero, which is amazingly good and you should be thankful if you have one of those in your area.

So, KFC has put out a zombie-ATTRACTING sunscreen.

Well, they say that it’s just a sunscreen that makes you smell like fried chicken (I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP, by the way), but we know how it will all eventually go down, right?  Seriously, watch the video.  See that kid at about the thirty second mark?

The greatest fast-food item in Western Civilization.

I thought that I was just going to light-post today. After all, we went to an SCA event this evening, and it’s Saturday.  No big deal if I’m taking it easy.

But then I saw… this (Via Hot Air Headlines).

For those who can’t hear the commercial for the Double-Down sandwich: it’s a bacon-and-cheese sandwich… that uses two fried-chicken patties for the bread.

Great googley moogley.
