Found here and here (horror-flavored, but not grimdark). Meg Syv has found a definite vein of something while laboring in the creative minds; I’m quite keen to find out what it is. She’s also got a Patreon that you should think about supporting – right after you support mine, of course. Or, heck, even before. It’s Christmas season, after all.

My Patreon microfiction ‘Jurisdiction.’
I may, someday, turn “Jurisdiction” into a larger story. Or maybe even a book. There’s a book in this concept, I’m sure of it.
I just put up an informal survey question for my Patreon patrons.
Mostly involving what universes they want their future stories based in. I encourage everybody here who is a patron to go over and give feedback; and I encourage everybody who isn’t a patron to feel free to sign up. Or, hey, tell their friends to sign up. That last might be a little more helpful in the future than you’d think.
My Patreon microfiction: ‘Psychopath.’
Yup, I crashed-and-napped this afternoon. It happens. anyway, ‘Psychopath‘ is subtly horrifying, I think. I mean, really, there’s no good interpretation there, is there?
My Patreon short story: ‘Processing Duty.’
I think of “Processing Duty” as my little endorsement of the idea that you can get used to anything, really. Which is kind of funny, considering that my favorite horror fiction is Lovecraftian, which more or less explicitly denies that you can. I guess I just have a complicated worldview… or possibly one that I don’t examine too closely for internal consistency.
Hey! Looking for a Christmas gift? Try my Patreon!
Of course, it’d be a gift to yourself*. And me! So it’s an efficient gift, then. Seriously, we are just on the verge of a new milestone, here. More micro-fiction goodness! And just beyond that comes game worlds using OGL rules! What a bargain…

*True, there’s also always Amazon.
My Patreon microfiction: ‘Birthday.’
I tried to imagine in ‘Birthday‘ how this sort of thing might actually go. After all, everybody knows the value of a first impression, right? And politeness costs a man nothing. And any other number of cliches, really.
Looking for a great Christmas gift? Try my Patreon! …OK, that sounds weird. Still:
My Patreon microfiction: “Mindful of Him.”
“Mindful of Him” is one where I tried to pack a bit more into it. I think that it works, but these are my babies, so I think that they all work. More or less.
Reminder: I have a Patreon!
Slow day today, so I might as well put up the link to that and call it good. We’re pretty close to $150/month and another milestone, too.

PS: Just to note: even if you don’t want to support me – Inconceivable! – there’s probably a bunch of people out there who you should support. If you don’t like the society-wide art, you gotta support the, dare I say, artisanal artists out there that are to your personal taste. Fortunately, this gets easier to do every year.
My Patreon microfiction: ‘Middle Kingdom.’
“Middle Kingdom” is a scene from a television miniseries that I will almost certainly never make. And it’s not a question of opportunity: I’d need reliable time travel in order to have the money and connections in order to properly make it. But that’s OK. I’m not exactly sure why it’s OK, but it is.
As always, my Patreon is below.
