The VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Honest Trailer.

I did in fact pick up on the gay elements in VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE. Or at least some of them: the video snapshot below points out one I missed (yeah, I don’t know how that eluded me, either). Honest Trailers also points out that it’s a fun movie, which I agree with completely. Almost operatic, as I’ve said elsewhere. They should sing arias in the next one.

Seriously.

Trying to figure out when to see VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE.

The first reviews of VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE are promising – critics dislike it, the audiences don’t – but obviously I can’t go see it Saturday, and Sunday may be booked, too. I guess I can squeeze in some time next week, maybe. Or just wait a week. It’s not like the movie’s going anywhere, and it’s not on my must-watch right away list.

Hit post too fast! …But now I don’t remember what I wanted to add. It’s been that kind of day.

:sigh: VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE now coming out… wait, *early*?

When did that become allowed?

Sony’s highly-anticipated sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage is releasing two weeks earlier than its previous date, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will now debut on October 1 instead of October 15, opening against Warner Bros.’ Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark and United Artists’ The Addams Family 2.

Don’t get me wrong: I’m happy to see it make it to theaters sooner. I’m just… surprised, that’s all. The last two years has been one long litany of movie after movie being delayed or archived or sent off somewhere that isn’t its natural environment (a movie theater). I am so [expletive deleted] tired of it. Movie theaters are safe, dammit. But I can’t go to them if the studios freak out every time Twitter does.

So well done, Sony.

The new ‘Wait, the first one grossed $850M?’ VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE trailer.

I figure Sony was a little surprised how VENOM racked up a very, very respectable box office score. Happy-surprised, to be sure – and they’re not taking any chances, here. VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE looks about what I expected. Which is to say: gonzo, Venom and Eddie squabbling at each other for comic relief, and Woody Harrelson chewing up the scenery, then spitting it out in bloody fragments.

Can’t wait to see it.

The ‘COVID Doesn’t Kill It!’ VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE trailer.

Astoundingly, this may still be a fun movie summer. I mean, starting Sunday the two week clock starts on full immunization for me.

Am I gonna see VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE? Yeah, sure. The first VENOM was fun, if not exactly high cinema. And that’s fine with me. I’ve spent far too much time over the last year and a half being stuck with myself. Time to go just… do and see things. Things I didn’t make.
