Welp, Bethesda’s doing SOMETHING in Austin.

Nobody’s really sure, but then nobody ever really knows what Bethesda does until it does it:

According to a press release from Bethesda, the publisher and developer has expressed its desire to expand “development capacity for future titles” by including Austin, Texas’ BattleCry Studios as a part of the company. As stated by Bethesda Game Studios’ Game Director and Executive Producer, Todd Howard, “As the vision, scale and ambitions for our games continue to grow, so does Bethesda Game Studios. We’ve had the pleasure to know the talented developers at BattleCry and knew we could do great things together.”

Well the Agent System for Secret World Legends was certainly very frustrating today.

I’m impressed with myself.  I didn’t type that out in all caps, or anything.  Or, rather, I deleted the all caps after typing it out.

Short version: the drop rate for the goodies sucks.  Which is fine, except that it also sucked if you’re obsessively grinding everything and doing three times as many Secret World Legends missions as usual. Like I was doing today. I was expecting… some kind of return on my time investment, you know what I mean?

Ach, well, they’ll fix it in the next day or so. Or somebody will figure out how to do a proper resource farm. That’s how it works in MMOs.

Rumor: Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, HEAVILY CONTROLLED gameplay at E3.

Am I desperate enough for Cyberpunk 2077 news to help spread this rumor? Of course I am! PC Gamer:

The Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account sputtered to life last week with a single, solitary “beep”—the first (and so far, only) word to come out of it after four full years of silence. Now a rumor has surfaced on Polish site GRYOnline (via Google Translate) that a new trailer for the game will be shown at this year’s E3, and that it will in fact be playable—although only behind closed doors.

I think that it’s reasonable to believe that there will be a trailer. Whether there’s gonna be a demo game at E3 is another story. But I’ll say this: CD Projekt Red has shown a certain talent for keeping interest alive on this title. Then again, they certainly came through on the Witcher series.  Never underestimate the power of built-up goodwill.

The New Tomb Raider trailer.

Like Geeks Are Sexy, I must admit: this looks better than the last trailer.

It is also absolutely based off of the 2013 video game. I thought so last year, but it’s pretty obvious now. I don’t know if this means that it will suck, however: the plot of the video game was looking pretty cinematic when I got defeated by the quick time events. Although now I’m tempted to give the game another shot.

Anyway: this is coming out in March.

Hmm. Assassin’s Creed: Rogue. Was it any good?

They’re remastering Assassin’s Creed: Rogue for the consoles, but it apparently got ported onto the PC a few years ago. I somehow missed it.  Black Flag was very good, and probably my favorite in the series; is this worth picking up?
