Fox Nation intends to launch a 33rd season of the show on October 1, when it will unveil four new episodes. Plans call for Fox Nation to drop a new episode of the series weekly on Friday nights. The streaming outlet will also show 15 episodes from the show’s 32nd season. As part of the launch, Fox Nation will offer a free one-year subscription to police, firefighters and emergency responders.

To summarize: her staffer almost ran over a DC Capitol cop (did hit the guy; thankfully, no serious [injuries]). So the Representative, of course, popped over to the accident scene to berate the cops, ask for their supervisor, articulate her opinion that this was all due to some conspiracy against her and that she was tired of it, and gave the cop who got hit by the car an impromptu medical [exam]. Yes, apparently Rep. Jackson Lee* is a doctor, and we just never heard about it.

Denver police identified the two men who were arrested Saturday after defacing a memorial for fallen officers during a protest march.
Matthew Goldberg, 23, and Robert Guerrero[*], 25, were charged with “investigation of criminal mischief-vandalism” in the incident, which took place at police headquarters, 1331 Cherokee Street.

I’m already seeing people – who, hopefully, are internally a little sick to their stomachs for having to make this argument – try the time-honored tradition of appealing to the very better nature of the Right that the Left routinely denies, every single day. Those people can do us all a favor, actually: they can frankly shut up and instead try to think about why they’ve placed themselves in this awful head-space right now. That’d be marvelous, thanks.

I am not entirely certain why anybody would be surprised to hear that a burglar, having discovered that s/he had just robbed a pedophile soccer coach, would indeed tip off the authorities as a matter of simple civic duty:
The [stolen VHS] tapes had been placed beneath a brown car parked in the south-central [Spanish] city of Jaén, along with a note giving them the address of the suspect, police said in a statement.
“I have had the misfortune to have these tapes fall into my hands and feel obliged to submit them so you can do your work and put this … in jail for life,” the anonymous note read.

Five police officers were kicked out of a Denny’s restaurant for carrying their guns.
It happened in downstate Belleville.
Needless to say, the national chain is kind of freaking out over one of their soon-to-be-former manager’s decision to encourage off-duty police officers to eat their crime-preventing breakfasts/dinners elsewhere. Because there’s a reason why Denny’s restaurants don’t get robbed more often, and it’s because criminals are generally smart enough to avoid the places where cops eat.
Sheesh.

It would seem that loyalty to their union masters take precedence over loyalty to the people of Wisconsin. From a contemptible letter written to M&I Bank threatening a boycott:
The undersigned groups would like your company to publicly oppose Governor Walker’s efforts to virtually eliminate collective bargaining for public employees in Wisconsin. While we appreciate that you may need some time to consider this request, we ask for your response by March 17. In the event that you do not respond to this request by that date, we will assume that you stand with Governor Walker and against the teachers, nurses, police officers, fire fighters, and other dedicated public employees who serve our communities.
In the event that you cannot support this effort to save collective bargaining, please be advised that the undersigned will publicly and formally boycott the goods and services provided by your company.
Now, this would not be a contemptible letter if it were signed by members of private sector unions. Private sector unions work in trades, and they have the right to make informed business choices (and even uninformed ones). But public sector union members are supposedly public servants – and they are expected to avoid even the hint of impropriety in their labor disputes. This is a barely-veiled threat from the cops and the firemen that organizations subject to the anti-labor reform boycott cannot expect a prompt and effective response from them in case of emergency. Simply put, there are different standards of behavior for emergency responders. Stricter ones, because being a repository of the public trust carries with it an expectation of behavior that is appropriate for that trust. This letter harms that trust. Oh, Carol. Why does she keep making us point out her lies?
Portsmouth PD: Shea-Porter was removed from Bush town hall by two police officers
Two officers of the Portsmouth, New Hampshire Police Department removed Carol Shea-Porter and Susan Mayer from a February 2005 town hall event hosted by then-President George W. Bush at the request of the owner of the property, a spokesman for the Police Department tells NowHampshire.com.
The revelation contradicts statements made by Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter as recently as this week that she was not removed from the event.
“[T]here were no disruptions and no rudeness and I wasn’t removed. If it happened, don’t you think there would have been photos or video or news stories from that day? There aren’t because it didn’t happen,” Shea-Porter told the Portsmouth Herald this weekend.
Or because they went quietly enough, and weren’t notable enough then, to justify either. The ‘thugs’ comment mentioned later in the article is more of a problem; it’s just not credible to imagine that Rep. Shea-Porter would not have recognized police officers as being police officers, given that this statement is an official one from the Portsmouth PD. So: either Shea-Porter was lying (being also unaware that the police keep records of this sort of thing), or she thinks that cops are thugs. Given her affiliation with the antiwar movement, I’m going to assume the latter.
Now, it’s not just affecting Rep. Shea-Porter, or her crony Mayer (who, as the article notes, is now taking in about 70 grand a year on the taxpayers’ dime*), or even the people who are stuck with trying to explain away every contradiction and evasion that Shea-Porter makes. It’s affecting the people of New Hampshire’s First District, who honestly don’t deserve this kind of amateurism from their Member of Congress.
So: Frank Guinta for Congress.
