Day 19, TINSEL RAIN NaNoWriMo: 39208/60000.

Back in the saddle again! And almost at 40K words, too. Things are still on the beam.

Day 18, TINSEL RAIN NaNoWriMo: 37138/60000.

Today was almost a complete bye day – my youngest had to go to the dentist to get some baby teeth taken out, and that more or less torpedoed my schedule – but I did manage to get enough of my brain together to write some fight scene. Fortunately, I have a buffer, so I’m still ahead of my target number! Unfortunately, I now need to rebuild the buffer before Thanksgiving! Ach, well.

Day 17, TINSEL RAIN NaNoWriMo: 36392/60000.

60% done! Huzzah. It’s starting to feel kind of like a book, although this one isn’t being written all that sequentially. And, honestly, there’s 20K words that need to be added to TINSEL RAIN after NaNoWriMo*.

Day 16, TINSEL RAIN NaNoWriMo Kickstarter: 34374/60000.

It’s starting to cohere. Maybe. I think. Gonna be a Frankenstein* of a book at 60K, though. I need to add at least 20K to it… probably next year.

*Somebody recently noted that knowledge is knowing Frankenstein’s creation is the monster; wisdom is knowing that Frankenstein himself is. I more or less agree with this.

11/15/2020 Update, TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter (3 days left!)

Tomorrow in the early afternoon the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter will hit the 72 hour point. A day later the automatic reminders for people who showed interest but didn’t back go out. But why wait?

Day 15, TINSEL RAIN NaNoWriMo: 32324/60000.

I did more work than I thought I had, I guess. No complaints!

11/14/20 Update, TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter.

Welp, it’s the last weekend. Was I hoping for more from the TALES FROM THE FERMI RESOLUTION Kickstarter? Yes. Was it a success anyway? Yes. Have I learned some useful things about my expectations, going forward? Yes. Does noting all of this help? …Yes, I think so.

And, yeah, this is a process, not an event. That, I need help remembering.
