I almost regret never actually seeing HOCUS POCUS now, or at least then. Almost. This is one of those Honest Trailers where the movie itself probably can’t live up to the review of it.

One of those where Honest Trailers had to gently nitpick because THE SANDMAN* was… you know, good. I am mildly interested about why they didn’t really mention Death at all. This show’s particular version of Death absolutely knocked it out of the park…
*Expensive? Yes. Worth it?
…Also yes.

Honest Trailers… were not fans.
I understand every single objection made in this trailer, but I didn’t watch THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER for any reason more serious than, “I want to get out of the house, and the movie theater is right next to a bar that serves a decent fried chicken sandwich.” Screaming goats and goofy jokes about ex-weapons? Yeah, sure, sounded like fun. It also made three quarters of a billion bucks without the China market, so we’re getting another one, sorry.

PS: Oh, just had this thought: Loki died in battle, he’s in Valhalla, that’s how Loki Prime gets back in the movies. Sounds easy enough.
Honest Trailers didn’t have much to snark about for TOP GUN: MAVERICK, although they did peg the Star Wars thing more than I had (I had, a little). Which is fine, because it was a fun movie. If you didn’t catch in theaters, I dunno, see if Alamo Drafthouse will be showing it. It’s a big-screen kind of flick.

Blessedly, my children did not want to see MINIONS: RISE OF GRU in theaters. Alas, the fact that this is an Honest Trailer means that it’s available for sale, and probably streaming soon somewhere. So at some point they’ll discover it. And then I will see this movie roughly twenty thousand times.
…Run.

(Yes, I’m feeling a little better, but after this and the next one I’m going back to bed.)
Anyway. JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION*. I don’t Honest Trailers were fans.
*#commissionearned. And I’m not gonna judge. I mean, I linked to it, right?
Honest Trailers didn’t rake MS. MARVEL too much over the coals, but did catch the fast character development and under-development of the villain. On the other hand, they did catch something about Damage Control that I hadn’t (the initials of the organization, and its agents). On the gripping hand, HT missed the chance to point out that the DDC once again demonstrates that Tony Stark is the cause of, and solution to, all of the MCU’s problems…
But they and I liked the show.
No, of course nobody asked for this. There’s a reason why HULK VS. THOR was languishing in whatever digital oubliette that Honest Trailers found it in. But as long as none of us actually have to watch it, we should be all right.
When they’re disappointed in a movie, Honest Trailers sometimes has a little bit of trouble getting the brutal/funny ratio right. I think that in DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS they managed it. At least, I laughed, and I liked the movie.
PS: I do agree with HT that EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE is definitely worth watching, by the way. It’s apparently odd how I can manage to like both of these films at the same time, and on their own terms. I suppose I just lack anything resembling consistent taste…

This… could have been worse. Even taking into account that Honest Trailers stopped halfway through their MORBIUS review to… no. I won’t spoil it. You’ll know what I mean when you get there.
