The idea behind “Ecclesiastical Reorganization” has been extensively expanded here. Let me just say here that reorganizations can be really awkward. Particularly when not everybody gets the memo.
If I had had just six more words, “Galactic Empires” would have had the the sentence “You’re living in a recreational vehicle” in it. Not “trailer park,” mind you. I’ve lived in trailer parks, and the people who live there would never tolerate the kind of nonsense that the alien routinely gets up to.
“Promising Land” is half alternate history, half a Tri-State Area-style joke. I feel that it works on both levels. But then I would, wouldn’t I?

Yes, “Fish Fry” has an inaccurate title. The more accurate title sounded stupid, though. Sometimes you have to choose between inaccurate or stupid.
