By my count, there’s credible evidence from this Verum Serum [link fixed] post alone that it’s happened at five Occupy Whatever locations*: a rape accusation in Cleveland, an assault arrest in NYC, sexual harassment allegations in Oakland, a sexual assault allegation in Portland, and a suggestion that Occupy Baltimore is actively attempting to preemptively discourage the reporting any future attacks or assaults: Continue reading #rsrh Multiple sexual assault allegations at #OWS.

#QotD, Life Is Not Fair For College Graduates, Either edition.
Charles Cooke (the NRO guy, not the pollster), on the effects of treating a college degree as a magical spell component*:
On Thursday, I met a guy down in Zuccotti Park. He speaks six languages, but he has nothing useful to say in any of them. He is the movement’s perfect spokesman.
Indeed.

*The idea being, a college degree will magically get you a job. Which would be great, IF MAGIC WORKED. Hmm. Somebody should do a survey of the current unemployment rates among ceremonial magicians…
Anti-semitism on casual display at Occupy LA. #OWS
I apologize for spoiling your morning coffee like this.
You know, when this video from Reason.tv came out, I invoked the 48 Hour Rule as a matter of course. For those who don’t know, the 48 Hour Rule is one of those useful rules of thumb that people come up with to make sure that they don’t get burned on a story; if something sounds too good to be true, or too bad to be true, or even just too much to be true, it’ll probably be debunked pretty quickly. 48 hours is usually enough time to establish that. And I was optimistically certain that this was the case, here: surely the LA school system hadn’t really employed somebody calling for the expulsion of the Jews.
“I think that the Zionist Jews who are running these big banks and our Federal Reserve, which is not run by the federal government, they need to be run out of this country.” – Patricia McAllister
I know. I am charmingly naive. Continue reading Anti-semitism on casual display at Occupy LA. #OWS
#rsrh Stick-wielding #OWS mob assaults NYPD.
Just a short while after protesters learned they’d be able to stay in Zuccotti Park indefinitely, violence broke out as a group marched away from it.
Protesters, apparently jubilant over being able to stay in the park after their furious cleanup efforts, took their brooms, flags and signs and started fanning out at around 7:30 a.m.
1010 WINS’ Steve Sandberg reported the protesters were saying things to the effect that now that they’d cleaned up the park, they were going to clean up Wall Street.
Ah, a variation of the old sign trick: “It’s not a club. It’s a broom.” Nice to see that the old traditions of the bloodthirsty Mob are being updated for the modern age. One wonders how they’ll find an acceptable substitute for cobblestones…

Does Elizabeth Warren *also* support spitting on our troops? #OWS
LITERAL spitting.
[UPDATE: Welcome, Instapundit readers.]
I ask this because back at the beginning of October Ms. Warren seemed to be very much in favor of the entire Occupy Wall Street ‘thing.’ As the Boston Globe noted: “All of the candidates expressed support for the controversial protesters who are part of the “Occupy Boston” movement downtown.”
The question then becomes: does that support include the members of Occupy Boston who went after a Coast Guard woman in uniform today? Continue reading Does Elizabeth Warren *also* support spitting on our troops? #OWS
#rsrh Zuccotti park to be cleaned – and, oh, yeah, shut down. #OWS
Oh, this is going to be entertaining:
The city’s top cop said today that the Occupy Wall Street protesters who clear out of Zuccotti Park tomorrow so their filthy makeshift campsite can get a much-needed cleaning can come back when the job is finished — but they can’t take their tents, coolers and other gear with them.
“People will have to remove all their belongings and leave the park,” Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said, “After it’s cleaned, they’ll be able to come back. But they won’t be able to bring back the gear, the sleeping bags, that sort of thing will not be able to be brought back into the park.”

Today’s Face of #OWS…
#rsrh The deserved persistence of the #OWS Dirty Hippie meme.
Outside the Beltway (via @vermontaigne) is possibly a bit bemused that the meme of Occupy Wall Street being a haven for dirty hippies has by now hit the mainstream. There’s a reason for that: OCCUPY WALL STREET IS A HAVEN FOR DIRTY, FILTHY HIPPIES. And it’s so blatantly obvious that even the regular media is noticing.
Don’t believe me? Watch this Daily show clip (via the above OTB link):
