1635: THE WEAVER’S CODE is obviously from the Ring of Fire series. I don’t know how much Eric Flint himself worked on it before his death, but these books have always been collaborative efforts, which is one reason I enjoy them. Another is because they always start with a firm grounding in Seventeenth Century society and technology before they fold, spindle, and mutilate history. I actually learn things from the Ring of Fire books.

Six billion errands today.
Motor vehicle’s, veterinarian, kid’s math homework was designed by Satan — Sudoku fractions? Really? Really? — and I discovered that Eric Flint’s got something called Ring of Fire Press and that was when the giant destroying of time started. I’m a sucker for that series, I truly am. And before you ask: there’s a damned steep learning curve to surmount before I could write in that universe. I am perfectly content to let other people do the heavy research lifting on this one.

1635: A Parcel of Rogues is the latest in Eric Flint’s Ring of Fire alternate history / time travel series, and I’ll be honest: this one is about me. This is gonna be the literary equivalent of comfort food. Not yet released, but you can get the Advance Reader Copy here. I plan to, as soon as I figure out the exact details.
