The ‘official’ THE NIGHT MONKEY trailer.

Sony’s getting cheeky.

Basically, SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME is now out on streaming. Sony’s just doing some creative advertising, that’s all. Fun movie, if you haven’t seen it; I enjoyed it, you should watch it.

PS: They might also be establishing a brand for it, in case Spider-Man ends up with Disney somehow. Which is also creative of them.

Looking good for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently hitting 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, so it’s got that going for it. So Sony has like, one more in the contract where it can use regular MCU stuff? Something like that?

I dunno: it might be in Disney-Marvel and Sony’s mutual best interest to keep that relationship going. Especially if Sony carries on their tradition from Homecoming of not actually killing an interesting villain at the end of the movie. Lord knows the MCU is going to be needing more of those, and practicing proper villain recycling anyway. The MCU gets more villains, Sony can piggyback on the next phases of the MCU, we all go see everybody’s movies until we’re sick of them, which will eventually happen anyway. This is not a bad paradigm to be in for the studios.

The ‘Am I REALLY going to show this?” Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer. [SPOILERS]

Feeling no shame, either. We all know that I’ll be watching Spider-Man: Far From Home as close to opening day as I can, anyway.

I wonder when the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer gets leaked?

Sony showed the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer at Brazil’s Comic Con, and is reportedly not going to release it generally for another ten days.  …Now, generally the MCU has been extremely good at squashing premature leaks before they can even start.  But that’s Disney.  They have a fearsome reputation in that regard.  Sony… does not.

Although, to be fair; you’re more likely to see leaked footage from the convention than a hacked and downloaded trailer.

Phase Two Of The Great Marvel Fan-Madness to break out this weekend.

[Geek Tyrant] puts it succinctly enough: “Multiple sources confirmed that the trailer was supposed to drop today, but I found out this morning that the trailer has been pushed to Friday, December 7th. …It’s also being reported by Collider that the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home will drop this Saturday, December 8th during the Sony Panel at Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil, and it will then make its way online shortly after.”  The reason for this?  GHWB’s lying-in-state — and there are any number of people who are doubly grinding their teeth over that, let me tell you*.
