Tweet of the Day, Some Men Just Want To Watch The Internet Burn edition.

Sonny would pay five thousand dollars to see this happen, just for the reactions on social media. I’m not happy with some of the stuff this actor has pulled, but… it would be an event, wouldn’t it? Right up to the moment that all the servers were spontaneously possessed.

Yeah, yeah, I’m talking myself into it.

Tweet of the Day, Kidding On The Square edition.

Dude’s joking here, but he and I both know there are far too many people on social media who have wildly inflated views of their own self-importance. It is to laugh, as Harley Quinn might say.

Tweet of the Day, GIGOGOGOG@#$%!@#$!@ edition.

I’m surprised anybody’s surprised. I mean, isn’t this intuitive? AI prompt results don’t have conscious decisions behind them; the model just does a high-probability guess, based on the existing information in its database. Dump enough AI prompt results into the database, and the amount of actual information goes down. Eventually it collapses, and you get a smear of fuzzy junk.

This seems pretty straightforward, yes?

Tweet of the Day, MARVEL At The Stupidity edition.

Ehh, ehh? Get it? GET IT?

I’m sorry. I knew it was a bad idea when I wrote the headline.

…BUT NOT AS BAD AS MARVEL’S!

Tweet of the Day, This Is Vaguely NSFW – But Is It INAPPROPRIATE? edition.

I mean. It’s a statue of Bacchus. I don’t actually know what the god’s old rites were, but I am somehow confident that doing a ‘bump and grind’ happened from time to time. Particularly if alcohol was involved.

Self-Tweet of the Day, Always Be Closing edition.

It really did jump up a buck between refreshes, mind you. My laugh at that was enough to justify the Tweet. The rest? Swift adaptation to market conditions, my droogies. Swift adaptation to market conditions.

PS: I don’t think I’ve ever read HILLBILLY ELEGY, actually. It’s not my usual style.

Tweet of the Day, The Books Behind FROZEN DREAMS edition.

It’s interesting.

Sweet Silver Blues is a stand-in for Glen Cook’s Garrett Files generally, and obviously Cast A Deadly Spell is itself. What was interesting was that when I went to go look up Sweet Silver Blues my fingers typed out The Lonely Silver Rain, and that’s absolutely correct. Tom Vargas owes a good bit to Travis McGee. Also Carl Kolchak, and even Eddie Valiant, but the meme asked only for three.

Tweet of the Day, God Bless The US District Court For The Northern District Of The Great State Of Texas (Fort Worth Division) edition.

This is potentially a great day for the American Republic.
