I think it says something slightly uncomfortable about me that now I don’t just want to watch BORDERLANDS: I kind of want to try out the videogame. I even have it, although admittedly on Epic, which is a pain in the butt to download again, these days. Hrm.

The PALWORLD Honest Game Trailer.
Honest Trailers clearly liked it, despite it being fairly evil. Or maybe because? Either way, buy PALWORLD now, because my GOD but they’re gonna get sued into oblivion.
The ROBOCOP: ROGUE CITY Honest Trailer.
ROBOCOP: ROGUE CITY looks fun and not particularly solemn. Honest Trailers went particularly easy on it, too, which is usually a good sign. Alas, I just don’t have the time to play it just now.

Tweet of the Day, This May Or May Not Be A Torment Nexus Scenario edition.
I get the general impression that READY PLAYER ONE is kind of a crapsack world, so that much tracks. On the other hand; if online existence is so burdensome, maybe log off every so often. And on the gripping hand: the world of READY PLAYER ONE isn’t actually going to happen anyway*. So maybe it’s not a Torment Nexus thing, as much as it is an attempted cash grab. Those at least are tolerable.
Video of the Day, I Feel Not-Seen edition.
I mean, sneaking around is the first skill I master. I was having real trouble doing that in Starfield for the super-stealth skill, until I realized that I could stalk innocent bugs* and rack up the stealth melee kills needed for unlocks that way. It just works.
*God help any level 100 creature I see on a planet, for it is certain that I will not.
The interesting EXODUS video game trailer.
Matthew McConaughy is an interesting guy, and with EXODUS he may have an interesting game. GeekTyrant: “The game is described as an action-adventure role-playing game with a cinematic and emotional story that involves the concept of Time Dilation and its impact.” It sounds intriguing: mind you, I’m not exactly sure how you’re sustaining an interstellar empire at mere lightspeed travel times, but I’m sure I’ll hear more about it later.
The MARVEL’S BLADE announcement trailer.
Don’t screw this up, Bethesda. I didn’t know I wanted MARVEL’S BLADE five minutes ago, but now I do. I will be upset if it is badly done.
The ‘I fear mods. Mods, in the deep’ The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria PS5 trailer.
How have I not heard of this before?
It turns out that The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is available on Epic, which indeed is probably why I haven’t heard about it before. ComingSoon calls it a survival game, with limited hosted co-op instead of a full MMORPG. Apparently you get to craft a lot as well as fight orcs, which makes sense.
I still have… questions.

…and all we have to worry about is the minor detail that games that go through this kind of development hell don’t so much have two strikes against them as they’ve been hit twice with a baseball bat. I’m not saying that VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE: BLOODLINES 2 is fated to suck, only that it’s a pretty good bet that it will. It’s also already annoyed me, because apparently there will not be a Toreador option. How am I to do my Humanity 10, Perky Goth Queen of the Repentant Damned playthrough if I can’t play a Toreador?
…Look, for the amount of money I spent on preordering, if I want to play this game like I was Twilight Freaking Sparkle then that’s what I’m gonna do.
“Go for the hard drive, Boo! Go for the hard drive!”
The account I saw this on is protected, so I can’t H/T it, but dear LORD.
…Have we thought about maybe doing better optimization of game code? Or any optimization for size? I know Moore’s Law is still hanging in there, but there’s a limit to how far we can go. Planck’s, if nobody else’s.
