Tweet of the Day, This Is Not QUITE Correct Edition.

It is much more accurate to say that Barack Obama will be trying to use the Gadsden Flag to sell Obamacare. I say this largely because Barack Obama is terrible at selling things; it’s about time that more of us said that aloud.

The Obama administration wishes to wreck your quiet enjoyment of March Madness.

This is not really about basketball, of course..

As hoop heads across the country prepare for the Big Dance, President Barack Obama’s administration is banking on a new March Madness-focused campaign to help boost Obamacare enrollment.

To coincide with the start of NCAA basketball tournament, a White House official says the administration is launching an all-encompassing push around the annual basketball bonanza that will feature athletes, coaches, and others, in hopes of spurring more Americans to sign up for health care before the March 31 deadline.

Actually, Barack Obama is already poisonous to Democrats. Radioactive, too. Possibly even corrosive.

This statement, I admit, raised my eyebrow: “One Democratic lawmaker, who asked not to be identified, said Mr. Obama was becoming “poisonous” to the party’s candidates.”

Barack Obama’s #Obamacare Obamabubble, in under 140 characters.

To quote the physicists: this… is not even wrong.

I will admit it: I did not want to find Obama’s Between two Ferns skit funny.

But it’s [expletive deleted]ing hysterical.

@GovernorPerry: @BarackObama attempting to bully governors.

This was from a RGA panel(?), back in February:

“When you have governors, and we all compete against each other — we are the laboratories of innovation — and for the President of the United States to look Democrat and Republican governors in the eye and say, ‘I do not trust you to make decisions in your state about issues of education, about transportation infrastructure,’ — and that is really troubling,” he said.
Perry expressed his own fears regarding Environmental Protection Agency restrictions choking off America’s energy production and a possible reduction in his state’s national guard.

“As a matter of fact, he [Obama] said at that meeting, he said, ‘If I hear any of you pushing back, making statements about Washington spends too much money, you’ll hear from me,” he said, adding, “I’m highly offended by that.”

Democrats yelling at each other over immigration. :flatly: Such a shame. Really.

I would have loved to have heard this conversation:

The White House is finding itself increasingly on defense over deportations of undocumented immigrants, as key Democrats and a top immigration reform group have gone public this week with their desire for President Barack Obama to act.

National Council of La Raza President Janet Murguía called Obama the “deporter-in-chief” in a major speech Tuesday, leading to angry phone calls from senior White House officials — including adviser Valerie Jarrett — according to three people familiar with the calls.

Jarrett told Murguía that Obama was “very disappointed” with the statement, the sources said.

@BarackObama reportedly planning #obamacare plan cancellation delay…

…in order to help(?) Democrats.

The Obama administration is set to announce another major delay in implementing the Affordable Care Act, easing election pressure on Democrats.

As early as this week, according to two sources, the White House will announce a new directive allowing insurers to continue offering health plans that do not meet ObamaCare’s minimum coverage requirements.

Prolonging the “keep your plan” fix will avoid another wave of health policy cancellations otherwise expected this fall.

Couple of things about this. Note that all of this assumes that the administration can get away with unilaterally and retroactively changing the health care law again: Barack Obama is riding the GOP’s quite understandable reluctance to impeach him right into the ground*. Bill Clinton poses with man who called @BarackObama an indentured servant.

(Via @PJMedia_com) Oh, sure, Bill Clinton also posed with a couple of prostitutes, but they were legal ones from Nevada. This is easily more problematical:

@BarackObama to bully Israel tomorrow! …Well. I suppose that he will *try*.

I didn’t really want to post on this, but since Barack Obama feels the need to spout off on it

When Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits the White House tomorrow, President Barack Obama will tell him that his country could face a bleak future — one of international isolation and demographic disaster — if he refuses to endorse a U.S.-drafted framework agreement for peace with the Palestinians. Obama will warn Netanyahu that time is running out for Israel as a Jewish-majority democracy. And the president will make the case that Netanyahu, alone among Israelis, has the strength and political credibility to lead his people away from the precipice.

In an hourlong interview Thursday in the Oval Office, Obama, borrowing from the Jewish sage Rabbi Hillel, told me that his message to Netanyahu will be this: “If not now, when? And if not you, Mr. Prime Minister, then who?” He then took a sharper tone, saying that if Netanyahu “does not believe that a peace deal with the Palestinians is the right thing to do for Israel, then he needs to articulate an alternative approach.” He added, “It’s hard to come up with one that’s plausible.”
