I was going along, minding my own business: just trying to get my coffee in on an up-too-early Saturday morning.  Then I hit this sentence about the problems the Democratic caucus in the Virginia legislature is having with one of its members having been convicted of sleeping with his 17 year old receptionist (bolding mine): “There was a racial undercurrent to some of the arguments made at the meeting, the participants said, given that [Joe] Morrissey and a majority of the General Assembly are white, and the 17-year-old at the heart of his conviction is black, as is a majority of his Richmond-area legislative district.” Continue reading Remember convicted sex fiend Del. State Delegate Joe Morrissey (D, Virginia), accused sex fiend*, …got re-elected.

The Democratic party of Virginia may now hang its head in collective shame.  Well, they’d insist that we’d have to; so what goes around, comes around. “According to the Virginia State Board of Elections, [Joe] Morrissey won 42% of the vote, with opponent Kevin Sullivan trailing behind with just 33%.”  Sullivan, by the way, was also a Democrat, which suggests that the voters at Virginia’s 74th district really wanted to be represented by a guy who did a plea about schtupping his seventeen year old intern…

(Via @JohnCardillo) This gets the coveted lolwhut: “Democratic Virginia state delegate Joseph Morrissey, who reached a plea agreement for charges relating to a sexual relationship he had with his 17-year-old office assistant, is yet to decide whether he will resign or commute to work from jail.” Delegate Morrissey – who is 57, and loudly denying the paternity of the child that said office assistant is currently carrying – got a year plus six months suspended for ‘contributing to the delinquency of a minor.’  So now he has to decide whether he’s going to keep working… Continue reading Gun-Grabbing Delegate Joseph Morrissey (D, Virginia) extends the scope of said grabbing.

Before the idjit hurts himself with it.

Background: the aforementioned idjit decided to wave around an “AK-47-style rifle” on the floor of the Virginia House of Delegates as part of a fairly bizarre gun-grabbing stunt.  Now, Morrissey claimed that the gun was unloaded, but then…

“Del. Todd Gilbert, R-Woodstock, interrupted Morrissey’s speech to ask him to take his finger out of the trigger guard…”
