Ah, ‘The Monkey’s Ass.’ That was a week, let me tell you. We followed up that awesome Saturday with the entire house coming down with Covid – but at least we didn’t have to deal with Thanksgiving holiday traffic! …I have been very disciplined in my thinking since then.

Patreon Microfiction: The Little Engine That… Spited.
They didn’t want to make “The Little Engine That… Spited,” mind you. It just sort of happened. But what could they do? It works, despite it being impossible. Possibly even because it was impossible, simply to wreck everybody’s physical model…
Patreon Microfiction: Wheelbarrows.
I think I first saw the idea behind “Wheelbarrows” in KING DAVID’S SPACESHIP. What one person can do by accident, another person can do by intention…
Patreon Microfiction: Patience in the Dark.
I figure the guys in ‘Patience in the Dark’ are actually not too bad when it comes to getting disease cures, if not fertility treatments. Blighting the existence of viruses and bacteria, before they can accomplish their personal goals (such as they are)? That’s actually kind of soothing to the Brotherhood. Patreon Microfiction: Out of Period.
The thing I am most pleased with in ‘Out of Period’ is ‘fersure-ly.’ I mean, it’s an obscure joke even for me, but to me and a bunch of other recreationists it’s pretty good. That’ll do.
Patreon Microfiction: Mutual Trade Benefits.
Note that all of the names in ‘Mutual Trade Benefits’ are translations. The concepts came across reasonably well, too. Which makes sense, because all of these aliens were enough like us to work out real estate deals.
