We’re going to go with Firefox this week because… you know what? Just fly the damn plane.
And so, adieu to His Girl Friday
We’re going to go with Firefox this week because… you know what? Just fly the damn plane.
And so, adieu to His Girl Friday
I mostly picked His Girl Friday (1940) because I caught the first ten minutes of it a couple of days ago on YouTube and got hooked; I figure that it’ll probably be at the library…
Heh. How quickly we got used to the idea that DVDs are at the library. Heck, how quickly we got used to the idea of YouTube. And DVDs.
Anyway, farewell to Shaun of the Dead.
Moe Lane
Shaun of the Dead isn’t precisely my first choice. It’s just that my first choice was going to be an alternate history flick: there are very few alternate history flicks that I have seen; and pretty much all the ones that I have seen are crap. So… Shaun of the Dead.
And adieu to The Muppet Movie.
Well, it’s technically the next day, even if the clock isn’t updated for DST. So… The Muppet Movie. It’s one of my not-so-secret weaknesses.
And so, adieu to Sherlock Holmes.
…Because Sherlock Holmes was fun in a way that demonstrated that somebody in Hollywood actually likes Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, that’s why. And because the American ambassador had the right idea, dammit.
And so passes The Wolf Man. Aroooo.
I picked The Wolf Man because I get to go see a movie this weekend – this weekend being my birthday – and guess which one I’m going to go see?
And so, adieu to Toy Story. Which really has nothing to do with werewolves.
Moe Lane
PS: There are a lot of crappy werewolf flicks out there. Just saying.
Although I could have just as easily picked Toy Story 2 as I did Toy Story: the former was one of those rare sequels that holds up well to the original. Let’s hope that continues.
And so, adieu to District 9.
District 9 was gratifying not least because I didn’t have to get worked up about having the stereotypical Evil Corporation In League With The Government being the main villain; it wasn’t my country’s Evil Corporation or my country’s Government, after all. Besides, it was a good movie.
And so, goodbye to 2012. Without a qualm.
Not because 2012 was any good; I haven’t seen it, but I heard that it was pretty bad.
It’s the Movie of the Week because this fake trailer deserves to live.
Tell me I’m wrong.
And so, farewell to Airplane II: The Sequel.
