Well, I got *most* of the postage worked out.

The parts that remain are the big orders, which require boxes. I need to go buy some, weigh those, and recalculate postage accordingly. There aren’t that many, thankfully. With any luck, I can get them out on Friday or Saturday. Huzzah!

…Fill out your survey, if you haven’t yet! Or buy a copy of TINSEL RAIN for your very own. Either way, I’m more or less done for the night.

Technology suuuuuuuucks…

…why do I do this to myself? And it’s all on my end, too. I am morbidly certain that the problem with getting the postage ready is absolutely because I forgot to click something that I should have obviously clicked, or because I misunderstood a clearly stated instruction. I mean, seriously, Backerkit’s very good at this stuff. I am totally ready to believe that I’m being a fumble-fingers.

Locked addresses for TINSEL RAIN Kickstarter distribution!

Now, assuming I can get the postage thing to work properly, I’ll be generating labels and starting to get actual copies of TINSEL RAIN to backers this week. Complications: some folks are gonna need boxes, and there’s the aforementioned postage thing not working properly. Hopefully the latter will get resolved quickly, although actually starting tomorrow won’t be horrible.

Also: if you missed out on TINSEL RAIN, why: buy it now!

I AM LOCKING ORDERS FOR TINSEL RAIN.

IF YOU HAVE NOT YET COMPLETED YOUR SURVEY, PLEASE DO SO. IN FORTY-EIGHT HOURS I WILL LOCK ORDERS, AND START GENERATING POSTAGE. PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR SURVEY AND MAKE ANY FINAL PURCHASES BEFORE THEN. THE STORE IS HERE IF YOU WANT TO ADD ANYTHING TO YOUR ORDER, OR PRE-ORDER SOMETHING.

Sorry for yelling, except that I’m not. Not that I’m mad, either; it’s just that this is not my first Backerkit fulfilment. You have to be loud about these things.

Tomorrow, I prep the dining room for TINSEL RAIN processing.

I have to create sample packages, weigh them, and calculate postage. I should probably also sign the copies of TINSEL RAIN that are going out, as well. But I won’t have as many to do this time, which… roughly evens out on the fortunate/unfortunate spectrum, I guess. A lot less of a pain to get everything ready, this time.

Once that’s done, I can see about locking accounts, generating postage, and getting the blessed things out. After that, I can finish the digital rewards. And after that… GHOSTS ON AN ALIEN WIND needs finishing. The sooner I have a manuscript that’s ready to be read and edited, the sooner I can start trying to figure out how to publish it.

The TINSEL RAIN books are in!

Behold!

I’ve tentatively penciled in Monday as the day I start preparing books and whatnot for TINSEL RAIN Kickstarter fulfilment. I have to assemble sample packages, weigh, and assign postage for them. Once I have an idea about that, I can lock orders, buy the postage, and mail out the books! Huzzah!

Thinking about this as my Adventurer’s Guild logo.

Thoughts?

Basically, it’s a grappling hook being stuck into one of those heraldic symbols, with the other end being held with a (red) hand. Needs some work, but I think there’s enough bad heraldry and/or jokes to be worth pursuing. Again, thoughts?

PS: Buy TINSEL RAIN today! Review it tomorrow!

TINSEL RAIN: Now in print!

This morning, I got the notification that TINSEL RAIN is live, and in paperback. I’ve already ordered the copies for the Kickstarter rewards: I tentatively think that I can start processing pledges in the first week of July. If you didn’t back the Kickstarter, you can order the books at the Amazon link above.

I will not have the books for Galactic-Con tomorrow, but I should have copies with me for conventions going forward. Definitely, for Fright Reads. Heck, I’m hoping to have another chapbook by then, too.

The print edition of TINSEL RAIN is In Review!

Checked the proof, made the changes, sent it in, had the usual issue with the imprint, fixed that, sent it in again. Now it’s just a matter of waiting to see if there are any lingering issues. Hopefully, you’ll be able to buy the TINSEL RAIN paperback by Monday. Hopefully.

You can still get it now on Kindle, though.
