Karl K Gallagher combined his science fiction torchship pulp trilogy into… The Torchship Trilogy. Okay, yeah, that was obvious. Forgive me: my sleep patterns have been a bit off since Starfield came out. Anyway, they’re good books. Buy the trilogy.
The MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS TV trailer.
I am kind of looking forward to this. MONARCH: LEGACY OF MONSTERS is the kind of TV I like to watch. I’m just bemused that they have the budget to make a proper job of it. Then again, I will concede this about Apple: if they want particular actors in their productions, they have enough money to make that happen.
Caught up on chapter edits for GHOSTS ON AN ALIEN WIND.
Not many chapters left, in fact. Once I’m done, I need to rework the first chapter of GHOSTS ON AN ALIEN WIND on something more defining and exciting, my editor and I will do another passthrough, and then… wow, it’ll be done? How… odd. And somehow unnatural.
It’s a STARFIELD weekend!
We knew this was going to happen, honestly. I’m finally starting to feel the groove of STARFIELD: so far, it’s been a refreshing lack of The Fate Of The Universe Depends On You. I’m wandering around planets instead and scanning the lifeforms. This has been surprisingly relaxing.
I’m sure I’ll be back to normal soon enough, though.
Adventures in toilet repair!
We’ve got an imperfectly functioning toilet mechanism. It’s not a problem with the seals, and my wife and I both think it’s not going to require popping off the tank to fix it. I have the parts I need, and I’ll tackle the job after lunch. It’ll either be a half hour job, or all day today and tomorrow. Wish me luck!
[UPDATE: Well, I had to pop out for a proper wrench. But everything SEEMS to be working all right, now. Giving it a couple of hours to break entertainingly, though.]

Tiring day today.
Combination of power failure and lack of sleep and the latter was my own fault. I will not be repeating that mistake tonight. At least I got more than a chapter of edits done.
